OVERVIEW
University Surgeons are specialist who have had five to seven years of advanced training in surgery of
the abdominal cavity (i.e., intestines, stomach, liver, pancreas, et cetera), the abdominal wall, the
endocrine system, the breasts, and the skin. Our surgeons perform a wide range of procedures that treat
problems associated with these organs, including cancers, inflammations, infections, hernias, dysfunctions,
and pain.
As specialists in general surgery, we are trained to diagnose your problem and recommend the most appropriate therapy, which may or may not include a recommendation of surgery. Our surgeons are uniquely qualified to monitor your condition and to prescribe preventive steps to help you maintain a healthy, active lifestyle without surgical intervention.
