Norman
L. Wool, M.D. was born and raised in
Waukegan, Il. He graduated from Northwestern
University with a B.A. in 1970 and attended
Chicago Medical School from 1971-1975.
He completed both his internship and
General Surgery Residency at Rush Presbyterian
St. Luke's Medical Center, where he
received the Rush Medical College Surgery
Award for Outstanding Senior Resident
in 1980.
Presently, he is an Associate Attending
at Rush, the Director of Resident Clinical
Activities, and Attending Surgeon at
the Comprehensive Breast Center at Rush.
With University Surgeons, Dr. Wool specializes
in vascular access procedures, hernia,
and breast cancer. He is widely published
and has delivered many lectures and
presentations in his areas of expertise.
Dr. Wool is a member of many professional
societies including: the Illinois Surgical
Society, the Chicago Medical Society,
the AMA, and is a Fellow of the American
College of Surgeons.
He resides in the Northern Suburbs
of Chicago with his wife and three children.
